Bill 168: Violence and Harassment in the Workplace –for Managers and Supervisors - NEW!
Ontario's New Legislation on Harassment and Violence in the Workplace is an amendment to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, (the “Act”) to include specific employee protections against workplace violence and harassment. Our course includes overview of the legislation, how to complete assessments, recognizing violence and harassment and strategies to protect workers.

This seminar is designed to help employees recognize violence and harassment in the workplace. It aims to provide employees with an understanding of legal and workplace requirements and their responsibilities under this new legislation.

Participants will learn about positive and negative reinforcement techniques, motivation techniques as well as team/resource utilization. Participants will have the opportunity to learn what type of Leader they are and what type of leader each workplace situation may need. They will learn the difference between an effective Leader and a manager.

Effective Workplace Communication
This course teaches those communication skills required of business professionals throughout organizations. Learners gain an understanding of the fundamentals of communication and are taught how to master the techniques and practices that are hallmarks of powerful and effective business communication. After completing this course, the learner will be able to identify changes in the workplace that have increased the importance of communication skills in business; define and describe the process of communication; recognize barriers to interpersonal communication and the importance of overcoming them; analyze the flow of communication in organizations, both the barriers to communication and the methods for overcoming them; and identify the goals of ethical business communication and the tools for communicating ethically and effectively.

Substance Abuse Awareness
Substance abuse in the workplace is a serious problem. A carefully planned drug-free workplace policy and substance abuse program will help ensure safety and productivity. This course can be used to help keep substance abuse from affecting the safety and productivity of the workplace.
