WHMIS Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
Participants will receive instruction on the 6 classes of WHMIS products and 8 symbols, supplier labels, workplace labels and how to read/use a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet). Participants will also receive instruction on recommended controls when using WHMIS products commonly found in most workplaces.
Review requirement annually. This course can be used as a review.

WHMIS Recertification
Participants will receive instruction on the 6 classes of WHMIS products and 8 symbols, supplier labels, workplace labels and how to read/use a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet). Participants will also receive instruction on recommended controls when using WHMIS products commonly found in most workplaces. This is a shortened version of our full WHMIS course and participants must have completed a full WHMIS course to attend.

TDG Transportation of Dangerous Goods
This certification course will provide the participants with instruction on placarding/labeling requirements, appropriate packaging, spill reporting, exemptions and proper shipping document requirements for Dangerous Goods shipped by road or rail. Re-training is required every 3 years.

Blood borne Pathogens Awareness
Participants will learn about the various types of blood borne illnesses as well as the routes of exposure. Participants will be instructed on the precautions to be taken to prevent exposure, basic decontamination and clean up of minor occurrence.

Laboratory Safety - NEW!
Provides information for working safely with laboratory chemicals and equipment. Topics include safety equipment and safe work practices, emergency procedures and equipment, chemical storage guidelines, and spill kit demonstration and general disposal procedures.

Provides information for working safely responding to biological chemical spills. Topics include safety legal requirements, equipment and safe work practices, emergency procedures and equipment, chemical storage guidelines, and spill kit demonstration and general disposal procedures.

Ammonia Emergency Response - NEW!
Preparing for emergencies includes planning for ammonia spills that may require procedures such as evacuation and notification of local emergency response units.
Although workers may have special certification or other external training, employers are responsible for providing them with thorough, site-specific training and continued instruction in the programs and procedures outlined above. Written safe work procedures form the basis of an employer’s ongoing training program.Employers must document training and instruction, and workers must be able to demonstrate competency in doing their work according to the work procedures.

H2S Alive (Hydrogen Sulphide Training) - NEW!
This course covers the physical properties and health hazards of H2S, protective/precautionary measures and basic rescue techniques. Each student will operate a self-contained breathing apparatus, a detector tube device, and perform rescue breathing as well as rescue lift and drag exercises.

Consultant will complete a thorough inventory of chemicals on site. Ensure that appropriate hazards are identified and legislative requirements are satisfied. Through interview and investigation recommendations on safer alternatives or elimination may be provided.

Manage Hazmat Compliance
Consultant will look at environmental program to ensure legal requirements for storage, handling and disposal are properly observed.

Designated Substances Programs
Consultant will identify the need for a Designated Substances Program and develop the appropriate documentation. Create site specific training programs for employees and make recommendations on PPE, containment, engineering controls and medical surveillance.
